  • BAG TUG SEAT BELT POLICY
    Posted On: Nov 02, 2022

    Attention All Members  !!

You may have seen the attached Airport Advisory in your email inbox, and you might be as confused as I was......so, I reached out to Caren Watson - SFO Compliance Coordinator - here is what she said.

Question - must we wear seatbelts when moving the string of carts up as they are loaded ? Or driving carts from forward to aft belly ?

The short answer is YES.......anytime you are driving a bag tractor you must wear a seatbelt - even while actively loading and off loading a plane in or out of the enevlope.

This is a safety issue because FSA have been thrown out of the tug because they ran over a chock - so no matter how short the drive is the belt must be on.........and you know Management will be watching............

Take the extra time to buckle up everytime you drive anywhere ! It's safer for you and will keep you out of the office.
