AMERICAN AIRLINES IS USING THE PAYCODE "VOTE" FOR TIME AWAY TO RECIEVE A COVID VACCINATION - THIS CODE IS PAID TIME
New California Supplemental Paid Sick Leave – Covid – 19
California employees now can use the Covid related sick leave to attend a vaccination appointment. This law is in effect now and is retro active from January 1, 2021. You should make an oral or written request for pay – American has nothing in place yet to easily make use of this new law.
If you can only get a Covid Vaccine appointment during your working hours, let Management know as soon as possible that you will be getting vaccinated and will be arriving late or leaving early. Do not just disappear from your work area.
You will need some sort of documentation that you did receive the vaccine and when.
All employees working in the commercial airline industry are now eligible for vaccine.
Members in states other than California, check back here - will post any other state laws as they are inacted.
