Pay transition for all TWU Members will happen on July 13, 2020, this is our switch to Workbrain.
Because of the change to the arrears pay methodology we will experience a “lapse” in pay. This is because we have always been paid forward and beginning soon, we will be paid arrears. Our pay week will begin on Monday instead of Saturday however we will continue with a Friday payday.
Also, important to keep in mind; the 2-minute early badge out we have enjoyed for many years will end with the end of AutoTa. You will be docked 2 minutes if you badge out early and it will show as an EBO.
Due to the transition and overpayment you will receive an email (replacement) on your aa.com account requiring action on your part. The email is a DocuSign form in which you make selections as to your choice of replacement pay to correct for the overpayment due to the transition.
The DocuSign is considered a legal binding agreement between you and the Company.
For those who have already submitted a DocuSign, there will be a “Replacement form” coming out which needs to be addressed. The old form will be voided. The new form will have a deadline of response on July 5, 2020 at 18:00 Pacific Time.
Failure to respond and fill out the form will mean your July 17, 2020 paycheck will only pay hours worked on July 11thand 12th.
For FT the July 10th check will be the usual 80 plus any OT or CSW; the July 17th check will be any hours work on the 11thand 12th plus any OT and CSW – to also get the 80 base you will have to choose how to “pay yourself” or not; the July 31st check will then be for the hours worked arrears – from July 13th – July 26th. PT will be based on a 40-hour base using the same methodology.
You may choose: no action – missed pay; payroll advance (taxed at 22%) from the Company with payments starting in February 2021; use accrued SK or VC bank.
