Annual Benefits Enrollment is right around the corner.........the window opens October 12, 2023 and closes at 2155 PST on November 5, 2023.
No action means no changes to your current choices, with the exception that any health savings will drop, other coverage will remain the same.
It's worth a look over to see if you might want to change or add something to your current coverage. All information is on Jetnet and you can even do a virtual forum or reach out for personal assistance in helping make your choices.
Don't be suprised.....as always, costs for 2024 will be higher (except dental).........
Get a head start on making your decisions. Go to: my.aa.com/enrollment for details. Be sure to select Fleet or M&R (Title II) and your state to get to the correct site partition.
Now is also a good time to confirm your beneficiaries are correct and in place.......and.......don't forget that American gives us a 401K match - it's a good idea, if you can afford it, to contribute now so that you can get the match - don't leave money on the table !
There is an action item if you have a HSA for active employees, employees on leave, and retirees - American is changing administration of accounts from Smart-Choice to Fidelity.
Do you currently have an HSA?
For 2024, American is transitioning the administration of its spending and commuter accounts to Fidelity Investments. If you currently have a health savings account (HSA) with American and would like to include your HSA in American’s group transfer to Fidelity, you will need to take specific actions to both open a Fidelity HSA as well as provide consent for the group transfer. Find more information and detailed instructions on the Annual Enrollment website.
Please note: If you don’t provide consent to be included in American’s group transfer, you will be subject to maintenance and investment fees from Smart-Choice as well as a transfer fee should you choose to transfer your account at a later time.
