  • SPECIAL UPDATE ASSOCIATION
    Updated On: Aug 22, 2019

The Association is now getting congressional support, read the attached bulletin from the Association and also the letter from members of Congress - including Adriano Espillat and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.  It seems that political pressure is dialing up against American Airlines.....this letter is from Congress representing the New York metropolitan area.

The question asked by the letter to Doug Parker is "how your organizations will ensure these two goals are met.".  The two goals are - a good faith bargaining agreement and having the overseas repair stations and the employees held to the same standard of security checks and drug alcohol testing as the employees in the US.

As was posted, President Samulesen testified befor Congress recently and you can veiw that testimony - he emphisized the issues of outsourcing and the danger it presents......it seems as tho Congress listened.

Like the letter states "we look forward to your response" and so do we.

CHECK OUT OUR 505 Facebook Page for an article from the Dallas Morning News

AND then there is the "Statement on the Purpose of a Corporation"  (attached here) from the Business Roundtable.....which Doug Parker signed - check out this article for what the statement most likely means to us......read letter and see Doug's signature !
