There will be a Ramp Crew Chief Meeting held on Tuesday APRIL 30, 2019 beginning at 12:15pm in the GM Conference Room. Attendance is not mandatory but encourgaged.....not so much for you to listen to them but rather this is an oppurtunity for them to listen to us for a change. This is a platform for you to share all the struggles you have on a daily basis because of lack of manpower, old equipment, lack of break and meal periods, and whatever else challenges you on the job.
Be honest with them, we are not here to bail them out daily because we care about good service. Ask them why they don't care about good service. The "numbers" for SFO suck and they know it - remember this is not poor a reflection of your efforts, it is a reflection of their poor staffing, scheduling, and attention to the operation. We all know that the bad "numbers" are a direct cause of their actions......not yours.
Do not get shamed or guilt tripped into doing things above and beyond your job description. A failing operation is not your fault. Going above and beyond only perpetuates the problem of not getting more heads, and better scheduling equality. We must stick together on this......being a hero benefits no one, even yourself - if you make it work today you have just raised the bar and it will be expected tomorrow.
This is a test of our resolve, by sitting slient and letting us find our own solutions to their problems we are giving them false evidence that everything is fine. It is not fine; attend the meeting, offer honest solutions, and make your voice heard. Support yourselves and your Crews !! Do your job by the policy and book - their shortcomings will become clear !
